Our mission

ODC uses a specialized English curriculum to develop the life and leadership skills needed for youth to build a better life for themselves and a better world for others to share.

Objective

To provide a competency-based, rigorous and culturally-relevant education to children and young adults, ensuring students have a high proficiency in the four macro skills; listening, speaking, writing and reading.

To engender ODC’s core values

To ensure and maintain a high quality of teaching standards by providing teachers with regular professional development and performance reviews.

The TREE OF LIFE, which is the SOUL OF ODC, has three ROOTS and FIVE BRANCHES. The Three Roots represent the Core Values which will provide kids with a stable foundation in life. They are:

  • BELIEF – we believe that each child is gifted with different TALENTS from their birth.

  • HOPE – we hope to nurture these TALENTS.

  • CHARITY – we will always give back to others when our HOPE is realized.

The Five Branches are the Guiding Principles which each child can reach their full potential in life and they have the acronym PEACE.

  • PASSION – do everything with/from their heart.

  • ETHICS – do everything with honesty and integrity.

  • ATTITUDE – do everything with the right intentions.

  • COMPASSION – think of others.

  • EXCELLENCE – be the best person you can be.
